Fun Fact Friday: A to Z

by tinareale on March 16, 2012

I doubt this fun little survey needs much of an introduction, as it’s been around the world and back  by now. Janetha created a winner and I’m all for it as a perfect Fun Fact Friday post. Happy Friday!!!

A is for age: 28. Although, I swear I’m 30. I get confused with my age all. the. time. I think it’s because Peter and most of my friends are in their 30s.

B is for breakfast today: Oatmeal. Did you even have to ask?

C is for currently craving: A good run OUTDOORS!!!! Seriously. I finally felt up to it yesterday afternoon, but a mile into it I had to turn around and head home due to some storm that came out of nowhere. It will be gorgeous for my race Sunday, though!

D is for dinner tonight: I don’t like to cook on Fridays. I don’t like to cook any night, really, so I just revolt on Fridays. Leftover pasta it is!

E is for favorite type of exercise: Running! I used to think I would never say that. Now, it’s by far my favorite type of exercise. I think for the therapy aspect.

F is for an irrational fear: That something bad will happen to Peter or my kids. I have always had a strong fear that something will.

G is for gross food: Cottage cheese. The single food I hate the absolute most. Gag me with a spoon!

H is for hometown: Atlanta! Yep. I’m the gal who has lived in the same state her entire life.

I is for something important: My faith. It is the foundation of my world.

J is for current favorite jam: David Crowder Band “Like A Lion”. Whenever it comes on, I want to sing along at the top of my lungs. I don’t, though. Because that would ruin the song.

And am I the only one that thought “current favorite jam” meant favorite flavor of spreadable jam at first? Oh, okay. That was just me.

K is for kids: I think you know. 2 kids. 1 boy. 1 girl. 10098080880149 cute.

L is for current location: My kitchen table? How literal are we talking here?

M is for the most recent way you spent money: Past and pasta sauce at Trader Joes. Well, that was technically Peter, since he picked it up. So, I guess mine would be all the song downloading I did a couple nights ago. I’ll try to share my favorites since I know I had a few requests! Smile

N is for something you need: A maid. Oh, what I would do for a maid.

O is for occupation: Certified Personal Trainer and blogger…but my life is in my family.

P is for pet peeve: When people pick at their nails. The sound gets under my skin like nothing else!

Q is for a quote: No doubt.

R is for random fact about you: I was stalked in kindergarten. I had to walk to school and my mom would receive a phone call from this woman every day, detailing what I wore and claiming she would “take me away to be hers forever”. She left gifts on our porch and all sorts of crazy stuff. I ended up having to be escorted to school for a few months until they found the woman.

S is for favorite healthy snack: Larabars or Chobani yogurt with Love Grown granola. And I’m so stoked to visit the CHOmobile tomorrow!!!!!

T is for favorite treat: Dairy Queen blizzards. They’re a weakness.

U is for something that makes you unique: I grew up doing gymnastics, dance, and cheerleading but have never been flexible. I’m thankful I can even touch my toes these days!

V is for favorite vegetable: Spinach, broccoli, or zucchini. Because I use them in everything.

W is for today’s workout: None! Resting up for the race on Saturday. Like I need more rest.

X is for X-rays you’ve had: I had some after I was hit by a car, but no broken bones!

Y is for yesterday’s highlight: Going to the park with the kids. Love those little guys!

Z is for your time zone: Eastern. And am I the only one that gets confused by how much the time difference is in other states?

Your Turn…Tell me something about you! What’s your current favorite jam? Grossest food to you? Dinner tonight? Or last way you spent money? Anything!

1 Karen March 16, 2012 at 5:45 am

I can’t believe you were stalked in Kindergarten! That’s some serious stuff!!

2 Lisa (I'm an Okie) March 16, 2012 at 6:19 am

Tina from Oxygen would cringe that you love running so much! Who would’ve ever have thought you’d be such a natural?!

3 tinareale March 16, 2012 at 6:32 am

I know!!! What happened to me? Haha!

4 Liz (Little Bitty Bakes) March 16, 2012 at 6:29 am

Cottage cheese used to creep me out beyond belief, but somehow I’ve warmed up to it this year. Olives are still high up on my list though, yuck!

5 Khushboo March 16, 2012 at 6:31 am

Wow you’re mom must have been so freaked out when you were stalked! Were you aware about the situation at the time?? No idea what dinner tonight is but I do know that dessert is fro yo:)!

6 Cat @ Breakfast to Bed March 16, 2012 at 6:41 am

The entire “Once” soundtrack. It’s enchanting. Haunting, even.

7 Lauren March 16, 2012 at 6:45 am

DQ Blizzards are my weakness as well. :) Good luck to you on Saturday hun! You’ll do great.

8 Lauren @ What Lauren Likes March 16, 2012 at 6:55 am

11 Lee March 16, 2012 at 8:02 am

12 Kristy March 16, 2012 at 8:04 am

13 Annie March 16, 2012 at 8:21 am

oh god I HATE people who bite their nails and do that horrible noise! It stresses the crap out of me! Unfortunately, my housemate, dad & stepmother all bite their nails!! aaaaargh!

14 Katy @ MonsterProof March 16, 2012 at 8:24 am

So doing this and freaked out by the stalking!

15 Maryea @ Happy Healthy Mama March 16, 2012 at 8:28 am

Man I haven’t had a blizzard in years. I’m totally craving one now. Have a great weekend Tina!

16 Cheryl @ Happy is the new healthy March 16, 2012 at 8:39 am

I’m loving this survey right now! It’s my fav task on my to do list for the weekend!

I’m craving a run–that isn’t just 5 minutes! Still, coming back from this injury smart is so important, and I’ll be running long soon enough!

I haven’t had a blizzard in so long, but now that I’m thinking about them and the weather is nice…well, you know where this is headed.

17 Jamie @ Don't Forget the Cinnamon March 16, 2012 at 8:42 am

Don’t worry–that’s what I thought that “jam” was referring to too! My favorite jam of late is “Lion’s Roar” by First Aid Kit. My favorite spreadable jam is raspberry!

18 natalie @ southern fit foodie March 16, 2012 at 8:43 am

First, that stalker thing is totally creepy!!!!!! Who does that?!

Second, I did this survey last night and I answered the jam question with “homemade strawberry jam” and then realized it meant music, but I didn’t change my answer :)

Third, GOOD LUCK ON YOUR RACE tomorrow!!!! Saying a prayer for you now!

19 Tessa at Amazing Asset March 16, 2012 at 8:48 am

Holy crap that stalking thing is terrifying!! Yikes. Oh and yes, the nail thing is a pet peeve of mine too… I actually didn’t even realize it until you mentioned it!
Have a nice weekend Tina :)

20 Kelly March 16, 2012 at 9:04 am

Stalked in Kindergarten….YIKES!

21 Brittany @ GOtheXtraMile March 16, 2012 at 9:08 am

Okay, the stalking thing is REALLY creepy. Who does that?!?!

22 Lindsay @ In Sweetness and In Health March 16, 2012 at 9:14 am

Oh my goodness, I can’t believe you were stalked!! That is so scary! I’m glad that found the women. Dinner tonight for me will be something that I purchase in the DC airport! Hope you have a great Friday Tina :D

23 [email protected] March 16, 2012 at 9:25 am

Liver:( My dad liked it so my mom would make it when we were growing up and we had to eat it too. My parents made us sit at the table until we finished. I’d try stuffing it into pockets and squirreling it in my cheeks to flush down the toilet.

24 Gina @ Running to the Kitchen March 16, 2012 at 9:48 am

My husband has the same “P” as you! I can do that from the other room and I hear him screaming at me to stop. Sometimes I do it just to see his reaction ;)

25 Ashley @ My Food 'N' Fitness Diaries March 16, 2012 at 9:56 am

i have a lot to say about this post…
1st: i LOVE that song by david crowder too! my husband and i blast it on the radio whenever it comes on. :)
2nd: that is a crazy story about you having a stalker in kindergarten! you must’ve just been a darn cute little kid!
3rd: i totally have a weakness for DQ blizzards too… good thing there’s not a ton of DQs here in northern utah, otherwise i’d be in trouble. although, i suppose i make up for it with plenty of trips to get frozen yogurt. ;)

26 Katie @ Peace Love & Oats March 16, 2012 at 10:04 am

Breakfast: French toast! First Time I’ve ever made it!

27 Emilia March 16, 2012 at 10:22 am

I love that quote as well :)
My personal least favorite food is the banana. I realize that everyone else seems to love them, but the smell and look just makes me feel ill. It’s always a problem in communal living situations…
Happy Friday!

28 STUFT Mama March 16, 2012 at 10:27 am

So many things I want to comment on…. Um… you’re young. I’m old. I have a hat that says the same thing about running. A kindergarten stalker? Say what?
Happy Friday! Have a great weekend!

29 Rebecca @ Miss Magnolia Munches & Moves March 16, 2012 at 10:49 am

Blizzards! Sooooo good. I don’t have a DQ in a 30 mile radius of me, so it’s always an out of town treat!

30 runblondie26 March 16, 2012 at 11:03 am

Omg, you “R” is scary! Your mom must have been a wreck.

Good luck Sunday. You’re going to do great!

31 Ali @ Around the VeggieTable March 16, 2012 at 11:18 am

I am LOVING David Crowder Band right now too!! Last thing I spent money on? 20 yards of fabric to make table runners for our wedding lol. Oh and currently craving a banana smoothie…I had one for breakfast and it was so amazing I want another one instantly :)

32 Anna Crouch March 16, 2012 at 11:29 am

You were stalked?????? That’s so creepy!!!! I think you need to enlighten us with this story! Like….who was the lady????

33 Jessica H March 16, 2012 at 12:12 pm

Hear, Hear to the cottage cheese!

34 Kelly @ Laughter, Strength, and Food March 16, 2012 at 12:21 pm

I have lived in the same state my entire life too…and I probably always will! :-)

35 Carol @ Lucky Zucca March 16, 2012 at 12:29 pm

That random fact was insane! I am glad they found the woman and that you are safe. That is so strange! Loved this survey Tina!!

36 Samantha March 16, 2012 at 12:37 pm

Aside from 1 year of horribleness in Iowa, I have lived in Rhode Island my entire life.

Your fave quote is my fave quote – I have that printed, laminated, and hanging in my office at home.

I too HATE cottage cheese, EWWW!

37 Shannon ~ My Place In The Race March 16, 2012 at 12:39 pm

The babies are getting so big! Have a great weekend!

38 Lindsey @ The Powell's Perspective March 16, 2012 at 1:12 pm

What a great little survey!

I LOVE Spinach. But only raw. Cooked spinach grosses me out.

My Faith is what grounds me. Without Christ I’m a mess.

Workout today… NONE. Two sick kiddos. Happy Friday!

39 jobo March 16, 2012 at 1:37 pm

I am terrible with time zone conversion! I work for a company on the west coast and that conversion is always easy, but ask me about MT or CT and I get confused as hell. No idea why. And now I want a blizzard!!!

40 Amy Lauren March 16, 2012 at 3:55 pm

I love this survey and will probably copy it :) .

So crazy that you were stalked as a kid! That’s super scary. Definitely the most unique thing that I would’ve never thought of on here. I love that quote too- I have it on Pinterest somewhere. It’s great.

Good luck with your half marathon!

41 Angie @ Losing It and Loving It March 16, 2012 at 4:47 pm

Grossest food is LIVER. I can’t stand the smell, makes me sick. So since hubby loves it so much he has it every time I leave town on a biz trip. Just found out my stepson’s new girlfriend loves it too oh boy lol

I love Reggae music, it always pumps me up but I also love to move to anything by Jennifer Lopez.

Yesterday I spent money on cat supplies at the pet store and had a late lunch out with hubby…fish tacos! Yum!

42 Yellow Haired Girl March 16, 2012 at 5:41 pm

I’ve been meaning to do this lovely survey on my blog :) I love reading about all the fabulous bloggers…

I can’t believe that you were stalked in kindergarten! That’s terrifying!

43 Lindsey @ Cardio Pizza March 16, 2012 at 6:44 pm

44 Linz @ Itz Linz March 16, 2012 at 9:39 pm

45 Diana March 17, 2012 at 10:40 am

WHOA I can’t believe you were stalked in Kindergarten! I have never heard of something like that! Good luck in the race tomorrow, hopefully the weather where you are is as beautiful as it is here in Missouri! :)
