It’s Friday! Yahoo! This week felt so weird – it both dragged on forever and sped by really fast. I plan on catching up and getting ahead on some work today. It’s Makenzie’s last day of school. I have to take full advantage. So, let’s get this show on the road. Bringing back the countdown, baby!

All I wanted to do was read this book nonstop. Surprisingly VERY good. It keeps you hanging. Synopsis here.
3 Things I’m Thankful For This Week
- the blogging community and the friends I have made through it
- only one more week until my marathon (taper crazies do exist!)
- breakfast for dinner – a saving grace when I forgot to defrost the chicken
2 Favorite Workouts of the Week
- perfectly paced 6 mile run on Wednesday – I hit 9:10 average on the dot
- yoga – I’m technically heading there this morning but my body needs it after Blend weekend workouts and a couple challenging strength workouts this week, so it’s a favorite.

Oh I have to read that book!!!
Fun post
! Call me boring but I love the classic ‘sour cream & onion” flavored crisps- so delicious!
And I love that you call them crisps. I always think that’s more fun than “chips”.
I love that last picture
. Thanks for posting it, really needed it this morning.
Popchips are so delicious too
. Light and airy- I like that. I like sweet potato chips the best but classic flavors and salt and pepper are good too!
Still haven’t found the sweet potato flavor but I’m dying to try those! Love the salt and pepper too.
I’m reading “true colors” by Kristin Hannah…. So good!!
Happiest of Fridays to you
You are going to rock the marathon! The taper madness is totally worth it in the end;-)
How precious is Makenzies smile?!?! Love the quote–sometimes I let my anxiety take over too much and I forget to stop and pray.
I hope you have a wonderful Mothers Day!!!
Yupp, you confirmed it. I love fridays. And puppy chow. All over that link!
Have a good weekend, Tina! Enjoy your zen.
Love your Friday posts. M is just such a doll!!! I hope you have a great weekend my dear!
Salt and Pepper chips, any brand. The more pepper the better!
how funny! i just finished that book last night. it was so good. usually i can’t do books with central themes of affairs/divorce/etc. just because of my views on marriage but this one was different and i really enjoyed it.
Agreed. I usually don’t like the affair love stories either but something about this book just kept you drawn in and really empathizing with the characters. I’m about 30 pages away from being done and just want to know what happened already. Haha!
aren’t those pop chips heavenly? That flavor I just tried and couldn’t get enough.
oh my goodness, i can’t get over how cute mackenzie is in that photo!
Mackenzie is too adorable!!!! And I love that the fish get a boat.
I LOVE the photo of Mackenzie- and she looks so silly and proud!! What a clever girl.
I’m so thankful for the blogging community too. I would have never dreamed that it would impact my life the way it has!
My favorite chip flavor: Balsamic Rosemary by Boulder Canyon chips. I’ve only seen them in Colorado (but ordered a case of them online for my hubby for Christmas last year!) They are as good as they sound- or better.
I was really excited to try the Sweet Potato Pop Chips last weekend- but didn’t see them anywhere- not even in the four (yes four) Whole Foods I went to!
Oooh la la! I need to try that flavor of Pop Chips!
Thanks for the linkback!
I LOVE tostitos taste of lime chips (SO good!)!!
Marathon a week away?!! That’s awesome! You’re gonna rock it- I just know!
Thanks for the linkback, friend
Look at Mackenzie! She looks so proud of her boat. So sweet.
I can’t believe there’s only one week until your marathon…you have worked SO hard for this. Excited for ya, girl!
That book looks so good!! I am getting so excited for you and your marathon.
Thanks for featuring my puppy chow
The last book I read that I really loved is called “The Language of Flowers” – it was amazing.
Fave chips? Salt & Vinegar!
I’m having salt and vinegar popchips as we “speak”. And I need to look into the book you mentioned. I’m always looking for new good books to read.
Tina, congrats, that marathon is almost here! Hope your body is feeling good. I am obsessed with the BBQ flavor pop chips!
Um I can’t BELIEVE your marathon is almost here! AHHH so excited for you!!
Hmm I haven’t heard of that book. I’m reading Game Of Thrones now but I’m getting bored with. I hate stopping a book but sometimes it’s necessary! Have a great weekend!
Thanks for linking to Girls Gone Sporty! Love your blog & good luck this weekend!
Love this blogging community too!!! And my fave workout was actually my interval run at the hotel on Wednesay! It just plain rocked! was so happy with it! I LOVE popchips and have been eating the big box of them I have left from the barre n9ne opening! SO GOOD! the sweet potato flavor – to die for! happy weekend!!
I’m looking for a new book to read, I’m going to have to see what that books all about!! I love breakfast for dinner too, brightens up my mood instantly! Mackenzie is an absolute cutie, and making a boat for her goldfish cracker is the sweetest things. Kids are the best.
Thanks for the shout out girl! I’m intrigued by the chili lime c hips….sounds like a last cinco de mayo party for my tastebuds!
Favorite chip flavor, that’s too tough to choose… I’ve always been partial to BBQ anything though! I’ve got to look for those pop chips, they sound amazing!
Your marathon is so close!! Very excited for you
I recently read book 2 of the Hunger Games. I love pop chips! I can’t buy them because I can and will eat a whole bag!
Thanks for that verse at the end there. Life has been hectic and in limbo lately and I needed that reminder to just let go and let God. If you can do all the things you do and still be encouraged, I know I can get through this time as well. Best of luck in your marathon! Running is not my forte but I’m hoping to hop back on my bike after this pregnancy and get into that spirit of riding and competing with others again. Have a great weekend!
Love the picture of Mackenzie with her boat…too cute! Happy Mother’s Day!!! Hope your hubby & kiddos spoil you rotten.
Just catching up, but the retreat sounded like so much fun (I’m actually a bit jealous of you & all the girls)!
Also, I LOVE that Bible verse – I seriously need to post it up somewhere…or everywhere!
