Gonna spread the word!! YEEHAW!
oh yay!!! SOO excited for bootcamp round 2!!! I blogged about it already and am trying to get as many to join too!!!!
Thanks so much!
I’m going to do it!! Thanks!
Yay!!!! I hope you love it.
So excited for this again! I love how creative you get with the workouts!! I will be marathon training during this boot camp so hopefully this will keep me motivated to go to the gym for strength training! Thank you so much for putting this on again!
Ah! I’m marathon training, too! I’m so excited to have a strength regime to do so I don’t get lackadaisical in that department. Did you do the first round?
Yes I did! I really loved the workouts. She may structure it different this time, but she gave us 2 weeks of workouts at a time (with videos!) and then there are weekly check ins through google docs (private).
Sometimes I felt like I was working out too much, because running 4 times a week and then having the weight/gym days 4-5 times a week was a lot, but she stresses to make it your own. So what I ended up doing was making double days on the days I did shorter runs. And when Friday’s workout looked like lots of legs, I would switch it with Monday’s workout to avoid heavy legs for my long run on Saturday! It worked out well.
I also love that she adds a lot of unique moves that I’ve never done before. Not sure the typical squats, lunges, bicep curls. I value the variety! Another thing I really liked was she varied the weight and reps. Some days were heavy weight, low rep and some the opposite. I tend to forget about that when I make up my own weight workout!
CAN’T WAIT. So excited for round 2!
Spreading the love, momma!
so excited, hate that I missed last time!
So excited to do this again! How will it be different from last round?
The workouts will be different and there may not be weekly prizes from companies. I have to see what I put together after pulling so many resources for the initial bootcamp. The cash prize will still be there though for sure!
It will still be new workouts every 2 weeks and the same format overall, but completely different workout layouts to change things up.
spreading the word for ya
Thanks, Tara!
can’t wait to join in on the fun this time around!
Awesome! I missed it last time, so I think I’m gonna have to do it this time! I’ll spread the word. :}
Yay – registered! Can’t wait
registered and spreading the word! excited! thanks tina!
Alright! Round two- whoop!!
I’m registered! I’m so happy to have another chance since life got in the way last time. This time I’m going to tear it up!
Just registered!!! I am so excited to join in this round. Can’t wait to see what you have planned!
Perfect timing!! I was looking for a bootcamp to finish before my wedding, and the end date of the 16th is just before my wedding on the 22nd! So excited!
I am thinking of signing up! Any previous attendees here that can provide some feedback?
I’m going to try to get a post together with some links to previous participants’ recaps to help out. Anyone else that wants to step in with a comment, feel free to as well!
I loved it! It was really a flexible plan, and I loved I could everything at home. Plus for that price you really can’t beat it.
Oh yay! I’m sooooo excited for this since I missed the last round! Do we have to do before and after pictures or anything like that?
I provide a check in document but you can use whatever means of tracking progress as you want – you can even track it solely for yourself. No obligation to share anything you’re not comfortable with sharing with me. And whatever is shared is kept private.
I’m totally doing this this time around. My body (after baby) is now ready for some real [email protected]’
Hi Tina!
I’ve heard great things about the first round and I really want to sign up this time!! Question- do the workouts take up all your normal workout time each week, or do you still have room to add in your own stuff too? I would like to keep up with some of my own strength routines and cardio stuff as well- is it doable?
Thanks!!
Andrea- http://www.a-doctor-in-the-house.com
How many days/week are you planning for (including strength and cardio)? How much of a time commitment per day? Thanks! I missed out last time for personal reasons, but I am quite interested in participating this time around!
Hi Carly! The plan is laid out to be 5 days of workouts with about an hour per workout. There is a mix of cardio and strength (generally 4-5 days cardio of various lengths and 3 days typically of strength). I do give suggestions for those with limited time frames or who have other scheduling concerns. The plan is definitely meant to be flexible, while still effective.
So excited to join in on this round! I will be finishing up Fitnessista’s Summer Shape Up in one week, have a week at a beach, and once I get back, I’ll be able to start your Bootcamp! Perfect timing!
That is perfect timing.
YAY!!!! I’m so excited for this!
ahh I’m so excited for you! Although a little sad I won’t be participating this time! It was pretty hard to keep up with during my half marathon training, so I think during my marathon training it would just be way too much!
Super excited that I can do this one since I’m not pregnant. Hopefully it’ll help me get the baby weight off! How long each day would the workouts take?
The plan is laid out for 5 days of workouts at about an hour per workout. However, the plan is also meant to be flexible so I give suggestions for those with more limited time per day or limited days to workout or for those who want an extra workout.
YAY! I missed the first one and I am so happy to hear another is back!!
I’m really excited too!! And also interested in how it will be different from the last one. Love the workouts last time! I keep them in my workout folder!
Ahhh Tina! I am starting to train for a half July 2nd through Sept 23rd, so it would be tough to incorporate the bootcamp. I’m bummed!
Bummer!
Oh! I’m so excited! I really wanted to sign up the last time, but was unable to… (I think I was too late?) Anyway, I hope to join this time around!!
Yay!!! So excited you’re doing a round 2! I missed the first one, so I’m so excited your doing it again! I’ll be registering next paycheck! I will be doing half marathon training as well, but I’m excited to have some new things to do for strength training!!!
So exciting!! I know so many love it
I just have training and so much teaching, that there is no way I could do it–but sounds awesome!
How are the prized determined?? I guess I dont understand about checking in weekly.
All participants that stay on track with their activity/workouts and weekly goals consistently (about 80% ratio) will be entered into the drawing for the prizes. This isn’t based on things like weight loss or body fat %, but on striving to live a healthier, balance, and more active lifestyle consistently.
So excited that you’re doing a second round. I’m sad because I probably can’t participate yet (knee rehab) but hopefully you’ll do a round 3? Pretty please??
Most definitely! I’m either planning a separate mini challenge for the holiday season and then BBB round 3 to start the new year…or 2 full rounds closer together for those time frames. BBB isn’t going anywhere!
Ahhh I was hoping that you would have another Best Body Bootcamp!! I can’t wait to sign up
Hey Tina! I have a question about the bootcamp – can most of the workouts be done at home, or adapted to do at home? I don’t have a gym membership so I was just wondering. Thanks!
All workouts have adaptations for home workouts. I definitely want it available to anyone. On the FAQ page I have suggestions for basic equipment for home workouts (like dumbbells, stability ball).
I’m so excited – I really want to join in for this round! At the moment I don’t have a gym membership for the summer OR *any* equipment save for an exercise mat. If I was to do all of the workouts at home, what is necessary to have?
The only thing required would be a set or two of dumbbells (preferably a lighter and more moderate/heavier weight options). I also recommend a stability ball and resistance bands (just the basic tubing, not necessarily the ones with handles) to get more variety for at home workouts, but it’s not required.
Woohoo! So glad you’re doing it again. I have a CRAZY summer ahead so I won’t be joining the fun this time — will spread the word though!
Thanks, Liz!
I heard such good things about round 1. I hope this fits into my summer schedule (traveling a lot so i dont know how my workouts will be effected)!
woooop!! Missed out on round one!! Looking forward to bootcamp round 2!
Too fun! I’m doing a challenge on my site right now too…it’s for the whole month of July having a smoothie a day! Such fun!
I saw that challenge. Looks yummy and so perfect for summer!
I didn’t sign up last time because of half-marathon training, but I am definitely going to this go-around.
I’m excited TO SEE THIS! I missed out the first time around because I had a stress fracture, but I really want to sign up this time!
All signed up!! So excited!! Thank you!!!
I’m spreading the word, really enjoyed round 1!! I even stole one of the exercises I learned for my athletes.
Hi Tina. I’ve read so much about your bootcamp and I can’t wait to try it. I was wondering how we will receive the workouts (email, or on the blog?), and most importantly, whether they will be printable. I have a hard time following along with workouts just using my phone at the gym because it always goes idle and the screen is small. Also, how early in the day are they posted? I am an early riser.
Thanks.
Hi Danielle!
The workouts are sent out via email to all members. The workouts are sent 2 weeks worth at a time and I always send them out at least 3-5 days in advance so everyone has a chance to review the workouts, get acquainted with them, plan ahead for their time, and ask questions if needed. I will likely send the workouts out both via Word Documents and shared as a virtual document online to make it easy access (and printable) for everyone whether using a Mac or PC. Hope this helps and feel free to let me know of any other questions or concerns.
Hi, Tina!! I heard great things from the other bloggers and wana join!
The thing is, I’ll be on vacation from July 14-29. Is it okay if I miss a week of the camp? Should I start from week 1 on July 30 or join the group for week 2?
Thanks!
I just found your blog and would have loved to sign up for this bootcamp. Will you have round 3 this year? Thanks!
Yes! This round ends in Sep, then I’ll take October off, then start back in Nov/Dec for the next round of BBB. Motivation for the holidays!
