Happy Friday! Did ya have a good week? I sure hope so! My week certainly included some high moments, which I will feature below. I also have the Best Body Bootcamp winners from the end of Round 2 ready to announce! We have the weekly winner for Week 8, the “Tina Appreciation” winner who gets a special prize pack of love directly from me, and the FOUR $1000 grand prize winners. Wish you had a chance to be a part of it? Well, you do! Don’t forget that Round 3 and the cash money prizes can be yours – Registration currently OPEN! Check it out. Then, check out these lovely scenes from my week. Have a good one, friends!
Okay, how cool is this to see on the morning of your long run. I had to stop and take a picture. I totally want to do this one day! Peter actually had wanted to propose in a hot air balloon ride…but Groupon didn’t exist back then.
Another running picture – 5 miles with a mile warm-up and cool-down plus 3 tempo miles at 8:50 pace in between. I’m so glad that running is still feeling good! Can’t wait to tackle 13 tomorrow! Bring on the Runner’s World Half Marathon in 1 month from today! Woo!
Look what came in the mail for me this week – my participant’s guide for the Chicago Marathon. Bummer moment! I hate that I had to put this race on hold…but I *will* run it someday. And until then, I will have a dang good time hanging out with this lady for the weekend and cheering on friends at the race! AND congratulating this lady on her recent engagement. Squeal!
Almost every day that I make my kids their lunch for preschool I get this overwhelming feeling that “I’m a mom!”. Don’t ask me why it hits me so strongly then, and why it still seems so surreal to me some days. It astounds me to think that I will have such great impact on these two little lives.
Aren’t they cute?! Well, Makenzie’s tongue and Braedon’s butt at the very least.
Speaking of new little lives, my friend Laura just welcomed her handsome little son into the world about a week ago. I always remember how much a dinner I didn’t have to cook helped during those days, so whenever a friend has a baby I show up bearing food. This time a vegetable pot pie and some oatmeal flax raisin cookies. Seeing her cute boy was beyond worth the time in the kitchen!
Yep. I got poked! It didn’t hurt at all, just a dull achy feeling with some twinges here and there. I felt sore for the next 24 hours or so. Then, some of the knots in my lower left leg that I could not relieve seemed to disappear. Crazy! She can use me as a pin cushion whenever she wants. Does that sound dirty?
I am SO excited for the new series starting at our church on Sunday. Talking about those moments where we feel “owned” by life. Oh, boy, do I have those moments! Check out the teaser video for the series and you can even watch the message live online with me on Sunday at North Point Online. Andy Stanley does a great job of making his messages relatable to real life, regardless of where you stand in your personal faith. If you’re looking for a good podcast to download, I suggest checking out past messages too. The recent Future Family series had some of the best thoughts on family life I think I’ve ever heard. Okay, I’ll stop now. I just love love love love this church and it’s passion for truly helping others’ lives have joy, fulfillment, and strength.
Now for the WINNERS!!!!
I will email each of you sometime today to claim your prize! CONGRATS!!!!!
