I’m currently en route to South Carolina for a little weekend getaway with Peter and to participate in a race. I am feeling loads better. Crossing my finger and saying prayers that I reach 100% as the day progresses and can race feeling somewhat okay tomorrow. Not going to lie. I’m pretty nervous about tomorrow’s race since I feel fairly under prepared for it and don’t quite know how my ankle will feel. Keep me in your thoughts, okay?
Since it’s Friday, you all know what the means. Scenes from the Week!
I had quite a few neat surprises arrive on my doorstep this week. I love fun mail!
First to arrive was a package from NuNaturals with some new flavored stevia drops, as well as a couple new products. I haven’t had a chance to try it all yet, so there will be a full review (and giveaway!) in the coming weeks. For now, though, I will say the peppermint drops are miiiiighty good added to coffee.
Next up, the package of my dreams! Literally.
A new Technogel anatomic pillow.
It’s been just a few short days and I don’t want to sleep without it. You better believe it is en route to South Carolina with me so I can #SleeptoPerform.
Although neither of these great things arriving on my doorstep compared to the special surprises I received from dear blog friends this past week!
Laura, from Mommy Run Fast, sent over a very thoughtful card that brought the biggest smile to my face. She also included some homemade granola. I consider myself a very lucky woman to have had the chance to enjoy that goodness. Laura, you make a mean granola!
Then, the lovely Clare from the blog Fitting It All In heard my plea over Justin’s Vanilla Almond Butter. I haven’t been able to find it anywhere in the Atlanta area, so she kindly sent me some packets to try, along with a very sweet message. Verdict?
Get your vanilla booty to Atlanta, Justin!
Other scenes from the week? Mostly sick stuff.
Snuggling with Braedon to help myself feel a little better.
Drinking Emergen-C daily.
And early bed times as often as possible. To snuggle up with a mug of hot tea, a bit of dark chocolate, and some FRIENDS on DVD? Nothing better to this sick chick.
Despite all the sick, I did get out for a couple blessed not busy moments. On Tuesday night, Makenzie’s school had their Christmas program. In other words, singing, dancing, and overall cuteness overload.
Then, Wednesday night included a more adult evening to balance things out. I hit up a sushi date with Lee and Laura. I always love the chance to catch up with these ladies! Even if I could hardly taste the food because I was still so congested.
So despite being sick, it wasn’t too bad a week at all. I hope the weekend only gets better! And to send you off to the weekend on a motivated note, here’s this week’s #theweekendcounts thought:
Have a great weekend!!! Any fun plans? Or places to recommend in Charleston?
