I had yesterday’s post written and scheduled by mid-morning Friday before hearing about the events in Newtown on Friday early afternoon. Since I didn’t have the chance yesterday, I simply must take a few moments now to express my sorrow over such a heartbreaking situation.
Instead of sharing some wonderful links for your pleasure reading, I encourage you to take those moments to pray for the families suffering, pray for guidance to leaders on how best to handle the aftereffects of such a traumatic occurrence, and pray for the hearts of those in this world filled with such hate that they may find grace and love before bringing about such tragedy in the future. Then praise God for His sovereignty, count your blessings, and share that love with those you cherish.

That’s the only type of sharing I care to do today. Love. Prayer. Hope.

Just thought a friendly reminder would be okay here: it’s Newtown not Newport:)
God is with us all in these moments and I hugged my 2 year old all day yesterday!
Whoops! changed it. Guess that’s what happens when you type fast and things come out of habit.
prayer is powerful. Never cease!
Thanks for this- praying and grieving over here, too…
This was such a sweet and encouraging post, Tina. My heart breaks for the families who lost loved ones on Friday and I’m praying for a peace that surpasses all understanding over them this week.
Beautiful! My thoughts, love, hugs, prayers go out to the families. x
