BBB Giveaway Winners + Final Review

by tinareale on December 30, 2012

Morning, friends! I don’t normally post on Sundays but I have some winners to announce! Before we get to that, though, I have one final review of Best Body Bootcamp for you. Fellow FitFluential ambassador and boot camp participant Divya had such an inspiring post to share that I couldn’t let it wait. Let’s hear what she has to say to us this fine day.

*********

I am a teacher. A teacher for students with mild/moderate disabilities. Most of my students don’t learn – CAN’T learn – in a traditional classroom environment. The lessons in a traditional classroom may not be engaging enough. They may not have the attention span to stay seated for 45 minutes. They may have deficits in auditory
processing and need a lot of visual supports to truly understand the material. One thing I’ve learned from working with my students is that every child’s needs are different. Every lesson and every activity needs to be differentiated in a way that each student can benefit.

Now why am I posting about this on Tina’s blog? Let me explain. For 8 weeks, I signed up for Tina’s Best Body Bootcamp. I was a little intimidated at first because, let’s face it, I am by no means a burpee-loving, cardio-craving, athlete. I didn’t sign up the first time I heard about it because I was afraid I’d fail. I was afraid I would
be unable to keep up and that I didn’t have the strength or ability to complete the workouts.

This is what my students face. For years, some of them were placed in classes that were too challenging – assignments seemed overwhelming without the proper accommodations or modifications. And so instead of attempting it, they avoided it altogether. They did not want to fail. I did not want to fail. So we all ran away from that overwhelming feeling instead of facing it.

go for greatness

Somehow, I mustered up enough courage to try it during Round 3. And I am so so glad I did. Tina gets it. She understands that every person’s needs are different. She understands that one exercise that may work for someone will not work for someone else. She understands that not everybody comes equipped with an
exercise ball or weights. She gets it. And she accommodates. And JUST IN CASE those accommodations aren’t enough, she has always been available for support through her Facebook group or e-mail.

This is truly a wonderful program; the amount of support – both by Tina and everyone else involved – is unreal. Please sign up. You’ll be so glad you did.

With so much BBB Love,

Thank you SO much for those kind words, Divya. As a former teacher and now as someone who hopes to show fitness can be fun and doable for most anyone, they truly mean a lot. Which is just why I wanted to share the love with that giveaway! Now for the SIX winners chosen randomly from a number generator.

Love this post, Divya! One of my favorite quotes, and one that never fails to motivate me to work at, is “it’s not supposed to be easy.” We have to work hard at new, sometimes scary things to achieve our goals!

I completed this past round of the boot camp, and I was also so impressed with all of the options so that this program could really be adapted to any type of person! It was a great program, and although I am not completing this next round…I highly recommend it!
