I came across this little piece of art work the other day on a Target run. As I shuffled through my errands I almost whizzed past it without a second glance. I had both kids and was just in a rush to get in and out. Makenzie was going on about wanting a Hello Kitty item she eyed a mile away and Braedon was, well, being Braedon. Trying to maneuver his way out of the seat every time I slightly turned my back.
I actually stopped a sudden, full stop just slightly past it. Then, I backed up, paused, and reflected.
I love my life. It has its moments, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I looked at my kids, smiled, then kissed them both and told them thank you. Braedon promptly pushed me away (such a boy!) and Makenzie asked why I said “thank you”. I told her for being in my life and making me smile. She, of course, immediately asked if that meant she could get the Hello Kitty stuff. I laughed and then strolled away to the cash register. In love with my life.
Be in love with your life. Tell me how you’re feeling that right now.
