It Got Me Working Out Regularly Again

by tinareale on April 3, 2013

Good morning, friends! Every week I like to feature one of the inspirational women who participate in Best Body Bootcamp. They deserve the recognition and it can also give any of you interested a sneak peek into the program I love to host so much. Please join me in welcoming Tracey!

NAME & BLOG:  Tracey English @ Aspire Fitness

SHARE A BIT ABOUT YOURSELF: I’m a personal trainer, fitness instructor and small business owner. I have 4 kids and am passionate about fitness and overall health. I believe in doing what I can to promote healthy body image, self esteem and wellness for people, no matter their current fitness level. We all have to start somewhere. I’m even still a work in progress! Winking smile

WHY DID YOU JOIN BBB? So many reasons. 1. As a trainer and instructor, it’s nice to have someone else telling me what to do. 2. I needed some variety to add to my program. 3. I loved the idea of sharing with others completing the same exercises. 4. It held me accountable. 5. It was a great deal!!!

SOMETHING YOU HAVE ENJOYED: Again, so many things. The workouts were great. The people online were supportive. The sense of accomplishment that came from being able to check those boxes off was awesome!!

SOMETHING THAT SURPRISED YOU: Some of the exercises are deceptively challenging!

FAVORITE EXERCISE OR WORKOUT FROM BBB? Tie – scorpion or alligator walk.

WHAT ACCOMPLISHMENTS HAVE YOU ACHIEVED DURING BBB? I had joined after having gotten a little lazy with my own workouts. I had been working out 2, maybe 3 times a week since Christmas. I just got bored, I think. Doing this challenge got me back in my groove – exercising 5-6 times a week worked wonders for my body AND my mindset!

WHAT STRUGGLES HAVE YOU ENCOUNTERED? Struggles – getting outside to run for steady cardio was a challenge, but I’’m hoping with warmer weather, it won’t be as much of an issue in Round 5.

HOW DO YOU STAY MOTIVATED? Some days it is HARD…on those days, I commit to 20 minutes. I tell myself that something is better than nothing. Because it is. My fave quote is "Little by little, a little becomes a lot!" I believe this whole-heartedly. Typically, once I begin, I keep going and all of a sudden, 20 minutes has become 45 minutes or an hour. I feel great. :)

ANY OTHER THOUGHTS YOU WISH TO SHARE: I just think this is a great program, inside and out. It’s great for beginners – it’s great for seasoned exercisers too. Take it at your pace and just pat yourself on the back for doing something good for YOU!

Thanks, Tracey, for sharing! If you want more info, visit the Best Body Bootcamp page. There is also still time for late registration through this week only! We would both love to hear from you in the comments!

What is a new exercise you have been loving lately? Or a deceptively challenging move to share with everyone?

I don’t know if its the new gym I switched to or what, but my treadmill runs feel easier so I’ve been able to pump up my runs with faster paces and more sprints! Feels so good (afterwards!)

Hey, nice to find you here today. I am taking part in round 5 too and so far, so GOOD!

I think it is interesting that you still need a trainer yourself, once you become a trainer!

I admit, I DO need/want a trainer even though I am one. Tina’s workouts are great and like I said, it was SOO nice to NOT have to plan a workout every once in awhile. Two thumbs up, again and again!! Thanks, Tina! :)
