Friday Five: BBB Facelift

by tinareale on May 3, 2013

Good morning! I hope you all had a great week this week. Mine could have been better, but I’m going to focus on the positives. Like the exciting Best Body Bootcamp news I have to share with you! Five bits of news, that I hope get you as pumped about the summer round of BBB as I already am.

You see, Best Body Bootcamp is undergoing a bit of a facelift. The initial round kicked off over a year ago. Since then, I have wanted to keep making the program the best I possibly can. BBB currently offers:

  • 8 weeks worth of workouts from a certified personal trainer – new workouts every 2 weeks to keep your body working and the progress happening! These workouts can be done at the gym or at home and all workouts include modifications for every exercise to make the workout work for you.
  • Flexible training. You have a plan from a certified trainer to follow that you can do on YOUR schedule. You can even move days around in the plan to fit your schedule needs or sub out a favorite class or workout instead of a suggested workout. It’s YOUR workout.
  • Email access to certified trainer. Email me anytime with questions!
  • Weekly motivational newsletter. Every week members receive important news and Best Body Bootcamp updates as well as a message to keep you going.
  • Entry and chance to win cash prizes. By staying active and making healthy choices, you earn points to gain entry into prize drawings – $100 prize weekly and $1000 grand prizes.

Now, though. There’s going to be MORE!

Best Body Bootcamp.jpg

1. NEW VIDEO DEMOS OF EVERY WORKOUT. The BBB workouts already include links to demos or explanations of every exercise in the plan, but beginning with the summer round I will go one step further to help every member understand the workout as a whole as well. I plan to include a members only access video that walk you through the workout – the layout, exercises, sets, reps, etc. That way you can know what’s coming and not have to spend time second guessing if you’re doing things right. You can give your workout that much more attention and quality training.

2. NEW BEGINNER’S WORKOUT SERIES. BBB can be a challenging plan. It does include a lot of modifications, but even still I never recommended it for a beginner to exercise. Now, though? I want anyone to feel comfortable joining BBB – even if you are just starting on your fitness journey. We all start somewhere, after all! This will be a perfect option for anyone newer to working out and looking for a plan to follow along with a great community of support to join.

3. NEW PRIVATE GROUP SITE. This may not seem like that big of a deal, but anyone who has done BBB before knows this is HUGE. No more keeping up with workout documents in email! Every Best Body Bootcamp informational document, workout, etc. will be available for immediate access in the new member’s only site. In addition to that, there will be a forum for participants to connect, ask questions, and encourage one another. Look forward to a hopefully more user friendly experience!

4. NEW BONUS WORKOUTS E-BOOK. Registration for BBB will come with a PDF file chock full of workouts to complement your BBB training plan. There are over 50 workouts included in the “Cardio, Core, and No Excuses Workouts” bonus.

Cardio Core and No Excuses Workouts

Find numerous cardio interval workouts ranging from 20 minutes to 50 minutes, a mix of core focused workouts, and five body weight only workouts done in 20-30 minutes for when you are short on time or without equipment.

The summer round of Best Body Bootcamp was originally set to start July 8th. After much interest in the program running earlier for the summer months, I bumped up the start date. The summer round of BBB will now begin JUNE 17TH and registration will begin MAY 20TH. Standard registration will run for $40 through June 14. Late registration begins June 15th and goes up to $50. Be sure to go ahead and mark those calendars!

Let me know of any questions you may have! I’m happy to help!

What perks catch your eye in an online training program?

Tina, you are incredible. The time and effort you’re putting into BBB is so, so admirable. I’ve been wanting to get back in on one of your bootcamps for a while now…hopefully you’ll have another round after your summer one! I’m hoping I’ll be able to get back into the game by September (maybe?? who knows?) and would looooooove to do it with you! I will beg you, if necessary ;)

12 Jana @ Happy Wife Healthy Life May 3, 2013 at 10:18 am

This sounds awesome Tina! I have never done BBB (I know, I am a slacker) ;) but have wanted to do it forever! My workout schedule just never seemed to match up, training for races or takin a break from all exercise for a bit, but you are making it extremely hard to not join the summer round! I love how you reaffirm too that it works for all fitness levels! I must must must sign up this time! :)

13 Megan May 3, 2013 at 10:43 am

How exciting! I’ve been needing to add in more strength training to my running routine, so maybe I’ll have to join along for another round!

14 Ang @ Nutty for Life May 3, 2013 at 10:53 am

Yay!! I am so excited. I’ve been wanting to join for a while. Can’t wait!

15 Erin May 3, 2013 at 10:57 am

I’ve only started with BBB for round 5. but i’m already raving about it because it’s so nice already having workouts planned for me! and it’s affordable, adaptable, and really, my favorite part, it’s all about ME! and YOU! and everyone else! it’s what works! and it’s totally cost effective! I’m encouraging a couple other girls to join. One who really just needs a workout plan to follow so she’s doing it. Another who’s never really been into strength, all about classes or cardio, but i think this would be good for her! so exicted!

16 Emily May 3, 2013 at 11:28 am

I’m so impressed with how far BBB has come in the past year! I’m feeling a bit nostalgic looking back at the first 4 rounds I participated in. All these new features sound amazing. I’m also glad you raised the price – you deserve that and SO much more! <3

17 Danica @ It's Progression May 3, 2013 at 11:53 am

I think this round may need to be the round I join in….I’ve heard ONLY fantastic things about BBB!

20 Rachel @ Eat, Learn, Discover! May 3, 2013 at 12:27 pm

Oh goodness, Tina – you have seriously outdone yourself now! I’m even more excited to participate in the upcoming round of bootcamp, and I didn’t think that was possible.

21 Brittany (Healthy Slice of Life) May 3, 2013 at 12:43 pm

Girl, you’re such a rock star! I miss being part of BBB and really want to join in next round, so hooray for an earlier start date!

22 Ashley @ My Food N Fitness Diaries May 3, 2013 at 2:22 pm

Can’t wait to participate Tina! You’re awesome!

23 stephanie**s May 3, 2013 at 2:47 pm

As someone who is not familiar with strength training and really only “wogs” for 30-40min at a time I am loving this new BBB! I need to get on it! I signed up for the very first one, but got frustrated with not knowing anything about fitness and it was MY fault I just never spoke up. I have been doing cardio consistently now for months and “some” jilian michaels. Cant wait!

24 [email protected] May 3, 2013 at 3:00 pm

Wow, great ideas to amp up BBB! Love the idea of a beginner series for people who are a little intimidated, and the workout videos will definitely help. You’re so awesome for all of the effort you put into this series every time.

25 Melissa May 3, 2013 at 8:40 pm

I’m so freaking excited! Count me in!!

26 Lisa May 4, 2013 at 3:15 pm

This sounds amazing Tina!! So excited for it! :)

27 Katie Heddleston May 4, 2013 at 9:33 pm

so aweosme tina! can’t wait to see all the changes and workout with you by watching the videos hehe

28 Jess May 6, 2013 at 5:40 am

What a great workout you have put together!… So this is for every fitness level?

Plus working out on your own schedule and at home is definitely the way to go now days when every one is sooo busy :)

29 tinareale May 6, 2013 at 7:55 am

With the new beginner’s option YES. Every level should be able to do the workout. Before hand, I always recommended a good base level of fitness and experience with working out.

30 Kate May 7, 2013 at 12:13 am

I can’t wait! I couldn’t do the last round but am looking to get back into it this summer — looking forward to your kicking my butt!

31 Annie May 7, 2013 at 10:38 pm

This sounds awesome! I am running my first half marathon next September and I plan to start training in June/July… Do you think I could do both? I plan to do two short runs a week and one long run on the weekends. I am definitely interested in keeping up with strength training too.

Is BBB flexible enough that I could incorporate it into my half training? I love having pre-planned workouts and having the support of an online community!

32 tinareale May 8, 2013 at 8:06 am

Hi Annie! I absolutely think you could do both and it would be a good fit for your goals. There are actually a lot of women in the group who do this in conjunction with race training. You can do your training runs as your cardio and then do 2-3 of the strength workouts (based on how you feel fits your schedule and body best). It’s meant to be VERY flexible. That’s my goal – to have a plan someone can follow 100% without thinking OR to have a plan that can be adapted to a person’s individual goals, schedule, etc. Let me know if you have any other questions!

33 Annie May 8, 2013 at 10:38 am

Awesome, thank you!

34 Bek @ Crave May 11, 2013 at 2:43 am

You’re amazing! So much effort and work has gone in to that! Good on you :) x
