Weekend Countdown

by tinareale on December 17, 2011

What are you up to this weekend? Holiday party? Last minute details? Relaxing? Something mellow? Running around trying to get ready to host a party for 34 people? That last one would be my day today. I know it will all be well worth it though once our friends all come together for a night. It’s my first time hosting something like this, so I hope it goes well! I’ll fill you in on Monday. For now, enjoy the Weekend Countdown!

5 Posts of the Week

4 Things Making Me Smile

  • Potlucks. Party with 34 people. Enough said. Although I did have fun prepping appetizers and pre-making fudge last night.

  • Peter’s reaction when he saw his gift. Awhile ago Living Social Escapes shared a deal for a Mario Andretti Driving Experience at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. I can’t tell you how many times Peter has said that he would love to drive around that track at top speed. No, he’s not a NASCAR fan. Just a fast car fan. He can’t wait to go in April! <—must be a popular event since that was the 1st appt I could get him
  • Finally updating the photos in our frames. I hadn’t switched out pictures in frames since Makenzie was only a few months old. It looked like we had numerous pictures of B in dresses all over the place. Now, we have cute pictures like this up…almost a year later.

  • Having all the presents wrapped and under the tree.

2 Workout Moves

  • Burpees – because they owned me during a plyo circuit I did for a quick, at-home workout this week
  • One Leg Leg Press – first time I’ve done them in a long time and such a good change up

How often do you switch out photos in your frames? What would you give as a gag gift?

I usually give fruit has gag gifts, or something really random like pencils, juice boxes….haha :)

Haha. Although, I’m the nerd that probably would love to get pencils. ;)

I feel your pain – I’m catering for 40 tonight! Wish it was a potluck… also, I wish I had some of your fudge. LOL!

Good luck to you!

Oh, wow! Good luck to you!!! And…I’ll save you a piece…if I don’t get too hungry. Stuff is too good!

I just switched out my photos! I think my picture-collages from 10 years ago were a little dated

9 Gina @ Running to the Kitchen December 17, 2011 at 10:20 am

I’m so bad about switching pictures out. Ours are still pretty much all of our wedding and honeymoon. It’s been 5 years…there’s definitely other things to put up! Good luck tonight with the party!

I am so bad about switching the photos. And ever since my niece has been born , she kind of dominates every frame. I love her. : )

Aw yay I’m glad Peter loved his gift!! And I did some burpees this week too…I also tried some one-legged burpees and those were killer!! It takes me ages to change out my pics in frames, but I should really get on that! I need to put a few pictures of the night Chris and I got engaged in frames!

13 tinareale December 19, 2011 at 4:02 pm

Yes! You need to do that! So sweet. :)

I rarely switch photos in frames, usually when I move cities: home to undergrad, and then undergrad to law school
