20 Minute Power Yoga Video For Leg Strength

Are you a runner wanting to run stronger? Are you a weight lifter wanting more mobility with your strength? Are you a mom on your feet most of the day tired of feeling tired when chasing the kids? Do you want to lessen minor aches in the lower body? Do you want to increase metabolism by strengthening the large musculature of your body? Or maybe you just want your legs to look nice in those new jeans?

Whatever the reason, leg strength matters. And yoga can do wonders to strengthen the lower body. Isometric holds supporting your body weight along with moving the body dynamically work together to increase both strength and mobility. This 20 minute video will give you just that. I dare you to try it and not feel at least a little bit of a burn in the thighs.

Stand Strong

I suggest having some familiarity with yoga for this practice – such as having taken a few classes. If it’s one of your first practices, I suggest something like my 10 Minute Yoga For Upper Body Tension.

Always  remain mindful to honor your body in your practice. If you have any injuries, health conditions, or recent surgeries, or if you are pregnant, seek guidance from your doctor and/or a personal yoga instructor before doing these at-home videos. This will help to determine necessary precautions and modifications for your needs. Always move within a pain-free range of motion and immediately stop any pose that causes pain or doesn’t feel right for your body. Make your practice your own so the yoga can do it’s work.

I just saw this posted this morning when I was looking for a workout, it was a great way to wakeup and get moving! I had to modify a few things because my preggo belly is just starting to get in the way, but my legs DO feel worked in just 20 short minutes! I’m totally not a “yoga person”, but this was easy to follow and I feel good :) Thanks, Tina!

Awesome! Did you see the prenatal video I posted the other day? There are also tips for modifications but it sounds like you managed things just fine.

PS – I get the feeling like you’re not a “yoga person”. I was that way for a long time until I found the studio with the styles and teaching personality I loved. :)

So nice to see you, friend:) I just finished this video and omgosh, girl, it is so perfect. The words that caught my eye and made me want to try it-20 minutes, runner, legs, mom, minor aches in lower body. I just took the laptop into the living room and did it before any of the kids get up…score!

Also, I must tell you that another thing that has always drawn me to you is your professions of faith. I know we are sisters in Christ and it just makes the practice and the sequence all that more enjoyable. Thank for always sharing your heart and thank you for this great video. Glad you loved it, Erica!!! 20 minutes is perfect some days, huh? And such an energizing yet calming experience with yoga.
