Weekend Countdown

by tinareale on January 7, 2012

You know what I’m looking forward to this weekend? No plans. Relaxation. Simple pleasures. After a busy holiday season, nothing sounds better than that. I know you have lots of fun things to get to this weekend as well, so let’s get right to the Weekend Countdown, my friends!

1 Blog To Check Out – Ellie @ Fit For The Soul

image

Ellie is an absolutely beautiful and inspiring person. She is a dear blog friend who knows just how to encourage and support others in the community. Plus, her blog is a great read! Delicious recipes, inspiring thoughts, fitness ideas, her wedding planning, and heartfelt faith. Yep. I love Ellie!

Thought provoking question from that devotional I’m loving – Do you TRULY believe you are filled with goodness? How would that impact the choices in your life?

Or…if you think “it’s the weekend and I don’t want to think”…what’s your favorite stability ball move?

Love the countdown. I forgot about the ball pass until recently and then I remembered why I probably forgot about it ;-)

if you prefer not to share, that’s totally fine, but i was curious what the name of your new devotional is??

i love that motivational quote: “Clear your mind of can’t.” it reminds me of when i was little, my dad would always tell us that we weren’t allowed to say “can’t” because we could do it!

It’s this one on giving up control and finding balance: http://www.amazon.com/Giving-Christ-Control-First-Health/dp/0830751122

Ooo what devotional are you reading?? I would like to think that I am filled with goodness, but I also know that I could realistically have more sometimes! My fav stability ball move is the one where you tuck in your legs to work your lower abs! I’m definitely going to have to check out Ellie’s blog…thanks for sharing :)

I want to know what devotional you are reading too! Please share!
I do believe everyone is filled with goodness. I believe that each person chooses how to use the bad influences in their life to change the “goodness” into evil/bad.

We have to make a choice everyday….

i believe that i am filled with goodness :) i believe that, regardless of the fact that we are evil humans, God made us to be good!

also, LOVE that mark twain quote – i’m 100% stealing it and hanging it in our house!

Hello!!! I checked out fit for the soul and it looks great. I tried to subscribe by email and it said it was not enabled? Am I doing something wrong?:) Thanks! I love you and your blog!!

14 tinareale January 7, 2012 at 6:01 pm

Are you trying to subscribe by email to my blog or Ellie’s? I don’t know for hers, but I’m sure she would love to help if its a problem over there. Otherwise, let me know if its here you’re having problems with and I’ll do what I can to fix it! :)

Happy weekend!

15 Katie January 7, 2012 at 12:09 pm

I really like the style of this post. Do you do one every weekend? I was just thinking yesterday that when I start my internship next week, I am going to have trouble keeping up with my blogs during the week. What a great way to catch up!

16 tinareale January 7, 2012 at 6:04 pm

Yep. This is my typical Saturday post and then I reserve Sundays for guest posts or no posts. Love that layout. :)

17 Katie @ Peace Love & Oats January 7, 2012 at 12:42 pm

I believe everyone has goodness in them, but I know I’m not only goodness, I often struggle with selfish or jealous thoughts! Just have to try and be out best every day!

18 [email protected] for the Soul January 7, 2012 at 12:45 pm

DOH….!!!! You just made me blush from so much smiling and encouragement!! Thank you for being the one who initially encouraged me to start blogging and continue to do so! :D I always love your heartfelt posts and your love for God. Moving on!

Boy that’s a gREEEEATT question Tina! It’s so ironic that you ask this now, b/c lately I’ve been realizing even more and more just how short I fall of His glory. *sigh* Not to get down on myself or be negative, but I truly believe that there is no good in me at all! But since I am a new creation in Christ, His Spirit in me is GOOD and makes me want to do good and to always be changing to become a better individual. :)

19 Paige @ Running Around Normal January 7, 2012 at 5:13 pm

LOL – I love your reasoning for the second question ;)

Three cheers to no plans this weekend! Have a good one, Tina!

20 Heather @ Run Eat Play January 7, 2012 at 5:35 pm

We actually have no plans this weekend either and I can’t begin to tell you how nice that is. And I was very happy that school and preschool started back up this week.
I feel that I am filled with goodness, and also believe that I am over sensitive to many things. I can’t watch the news, I can’t watch shows like criminal minds because it bothers me way too much. I wish I was able to help people more and know that God has a purpose for me even if I don’t know what it is yet.

21 Shannon ~ My Place In The Race January 7, 2012 at 10:29 pm

I feel you! I was ready for a bummy weekend. The first week in January is always so rough. To go from 90 mph to a screaching halt is exhausting! :D

22 Gina @ Running to the Kitchen January 8, 2012 at 3:51 pm

Love the second question because that’s exactly how I feel right now ;) Prone jacknife is my fav stability ball move right now. It’s fun and it works!

23 Erica January 8, 2012 at 7:42 pm

Hope your weekend was WONDERFUL! I’m sure the break you get from preschool is MUCH appreciated and well deserved. A little distance sometimes makes the heart grow fonder ;)

24 Parita @ myinnershakti January 8, 2012 at 8:05 pm

Loved a lot of your posts this week! Definitely had me thinking.

And Ellie is a sweetheart! Love her blog :)

25 Kiah January 8, 2012 at 8:55 pm

Beautiful roundup (per usual), Tina! Glad you’ve finally got some time to relax :-)

26 Cheryl @ eatplayluvblog January 8, 2012 at 9:46 pm

Somehow I lost your blog in my subscriptions and I just realized that something was missing. Glad I came back for this post. I am such a sucker for anything cheesy or motivational or inspirational. LOVE!

Also, the ball pass is my go to exercise. I thought it would get easier…never!
