Weekend Countdown

by tinareale on January 28, 2012

I used to think having to get up early for my long runs on Saturdays was some form of brutal torture. Now, I kind of like it. I have some quiet time to myself in the morning with a cup of coffee and peanut butter toast. Some time to catch up with you all in my weekly Weekend Countdown post. Yea. Early Saturday wake-up calls aren’t so bad. Here’s to a great day!

I love hearing kiddies laugh! So beautiful. My fave sound has to be birds singing at dawn, just love it :-)

I love that pin about stop giving up!

Favorite sound would have to be the quiet you hear when you sit in nature, and there are no sirens going by and none of the clicks, beeps and ticks of modern day living.

Have a great weekend!

Such wonderful quotes, Tina!! I love the one about not giving up and courage. That one really speaks to me~ And yay for Makenzie getting potty training! haha, my nephew just turned two, and now whenever he’s peed in his diapers, he brings the lil baby toilet to his parents. So funny! Uhh you’re a minute late, boy! :P

I have been soooo lazy so far today. But I do plan on a run at some point. It’s just too nice here not to get outside.

The Dracula thingy is too funny! :D

Although getting up early on Saturday is always rough, I love getting my run over with. I can do it later in the day or even on Sundays but then it’s always looming over my head.

Happy weekend to you!! I love this post. It is so joyful! Kids laughing is such a wonderful sound. I don’t know what my favorite is… thats a tough question! I agree with Laura who said birds in the morning though- that is a lovely sound to wake up to!

14 Lauren @ Oatmeal after Spinning January 28, 2012 at 7:38 pm

I loooove that last quote- such a good one! I think I need to post that in a place where I can see it 24-7 (and for others to see, too!).
I always look forward to sleeping on the weekend more than anything- it was so nice to get 8.5 hours of sleep last night- that definitely does not happen during the week!

Oh man! I am so flattered by this! Thank you :)
