Has registration for Boot Camp #2 started? I’m interested in learning more about boot camp and possibly signing up this time ar0und!
Good morning! I will be announcing the next round and opening up registration next Wednesday. The actual bootcamp dates will begin about a month later. Let me know of any other questions and I’m happy to help!
How long will the registration be open this time? Very excited to participate again!
It will be open close to 4 weeks. I’m going to have the start date for bootcamp on July 23rd, so it will be open until right before that date.
Hi, I sent you an email a couple of days ago
, if my english is bad, please tell me. I am totally in for the boot camp
Hi Nayeli. I didn’t see an email for some reason. Can you please resend it?
Is there running involved? As much as I would LOVE to be able to run still, I can’t after birthing 3 children – my bladder can’t handle. I do enjoy speed walking daily though. This will be my first boot camp – do I have to be in awesome shape to be able to participate?
Can you tell that I’m nervous about signing up? I just want to be able to give it 100%.
Thank you for your time! BTW, I love your blog and just found you on twitter
-
do you close the registration at a certain number of people?
Hi Jerrica,
Registration is open for as many participants as interested. I have a cap on the number of personalized clients I work with, but the bootcamp is one overall plan so it can be any number of participants. Hope you join!
I am so happy for you that your training business is going so well. Proud proud friend!
can’t wait to participate again!!! you’re killin’ it, tina!
Honestly you’re blog (love it-thank you btw) is what turned me on to her & her blog/Bootcamp! I’m so excited I hope I can get in! Glad to hear you are entering again. I’ll feel more connected wgen I read both of you lol!!!
Is the bootcamp doable from home? I workout in my basement with an elliptical machine, free weights, stability ball – but really can’t access the gym anymore with two small kids and working full time. Would love to join but only if doable from home. Thanks in advance.
Pattie
You have all you would need for the workouts. I write the workouts mostly geared towards bodyweight and freeweight exercises. Any moves in the plan that do use gym equipment, I also offer at-home variations for every single one. I want the workouts friendly for no matter where you train. I also give suggestions for what things to focus on for those on a time crunch (like when fitting in workouts around kids/work). Hope you join!
I am signed and up and super excited. I work out at home so very interested in seeing what all different excerises that I can do there. What weight on the free weights would you recommend?
It depends on what weight range you typically use. I would suggest one lighter and one more moderate/heavier pair. Such as a pair of 5s and then a pair of 10-15s with perhaps something in between if you have the ability to get another set. Hope that helps!
hi Tina, just wondering if i could enter even though i’m overseas?
Vicky
Sure! If you can pay via PayPal then it should be fine. The only prizes this time are the cash prizes, which come from me through PayPal.
Hi Tina! Do you have a link to anyone who did your last bootcamp and posted a review?
Are there videos of the workouts also?
There are video demonstrations of individual exercises, but not videos of a full workout.
Hi Tina – quick last minute question. I’m unable to start on Monday due to traveling. Will I be able to have access to the bootcamp workouts even if I’m delayed a week? Or are they only posted for that specific day? Thanks!
Overcast skies today here, but the sun is peeking out. We could use a little rain, though, to help green the grass and such.
Ahh so SO bummed I missed round 2 sign ups, I NEED to be in for round 3!!
Shoot! Just found you thru Julie @ pbfingers.com, so sad I missed this round but will be on the lookout for round 3!
HEy There! I keep trying to find more information on the bootcamp, but I keep getting lost. :] What is the cost? Can you give me an idea of a sample workout? I completed Jamie Eason’s Livefit about 2 months ago and can’t seem to get re-motivated to keep at it consistantly. I think a program would really help depending on cost and layout. THanks so much!
-Jamie
Hi Tina…looking forward to the bootcamp signup September 17th. Have heard so many
good things about your program from Julie at PB Fingers….
Lacking some motivation at this time….need some firing up!
How much is the boot camp? I am really excited to sign up! I have heard wonderful things and am counting the days to registration.
Hi Allison! The boot camp is $25 for the 8 weeks worth of workouts, access to the online support community via Facebook, and entry into the weekly prizes for participating and keeping up with the boot camp activity and goals. Hope you will join us!
Thank you so much Tina!! I am really excited and will for sure be signing up on Sept 17!
Has registration closed for Round 3?
Nope. It doesn’t open until next Monday. It will be open for a month from then.
Similar to Jamie’s comment above, I’m curious if there’s a sample workout to view…just enough to get an idea of layout, structure, length, etc. Thanks!!
Hello! I emailed Jamie so sorry there wasn’t a response for you to have here to that question. I don’t really have sample workouts to send since I make the plan so detailed and every workout has a variety of alterations to make it flexible. However, I’m more than happy to give you the general ideas.
The plan is 8 weeks long, with 5 workouts of about an hour in length each week. Every 2 weeks you will receive a new set of workouts. The workouts have adaptations to make them more modified to a lighter or more challenging workout. They have suggestions for those with a limited schedule. The structure changes from week to week with generally 2-4 strength workouts (mostly 3) per week and a mix of training styles – I’ve done things from circuits to straight sets, from higher reps to heavier pyramid sets. The cardio is suggested (includes steady state, cardio “drill” type workouts, intervals, etc). Basically, the plan is meant to either follow completely OR adapt into your own routines. I want something flexible and enjoyable that also provides a fun challenge to each participant. Feel free to email any additional questions to me directly!
Hello Tina! I was wondering is there a certain limit to how many people can sign up? I really want to try it! I’m a Ga gal myself so enjoy the cooler weather this weekend…cannot wait until autumn! Be blessed & highly favored
Hi Rebecca! There is no cap on participation since it’s one workout plan and I want it available to whoever is interested.
How cool you’re also in GA. Let me know if you’re around the ATL area and want to come to any of our meet-ups. We have one coming up the end of September, in fact.
I would love to! I live in Austell Ga actually
where do y’all meet up?
Hi Tina!!!
I found your website through Julie @ peanut butter fingers and simply had a few questions for you about the bootcamp. I was wondering what the cost is for the bootcamp? Also do you use the same formats or exercises for each bootcamp session? In other words, do you change the bootcamp each time you host a session, different workouts etc? I am so excited to register. Do you have a cap on how many people you except?
Thank You so much,
Michelle
Hi Michelle,
There is no cap on the participation since it is one workout plan. Each boot camp features new exercises and workouts. It’s never the same boot camp twice, so people do have to register for each boot camp separately. It’s $25. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have other questions.
Hi Tina! I’m super excited to sign up for the round 3. After my marathon training, I’m looking forward to focus on functional / strength training! I would like to know if the workouts are printable, because I don’t own a smart phone or tablet to bring to the gym with me.
Yes! I send all documents via a Word Document and Google Docs to view and/or print. The links to the demos of the exercises won’t print, but many members have found ways to print those off as well and save them in a binder for easy workout reference.
I am in again! So excited.
Just signed up. I’m pretty excited to do this again!
Signing up again! let’s see if I can make it all the way through this time. Commitment!!!!
So excited
I’m so excited I got in on this! I’ve been reading the rave reviews on PB Fingers
I recently moved to a very tiny town with no access to a gym (a total gym rat before the move!) and have had to adapt to working out in our basement. I’m so out of ideas and counting down the days until #3 starts!
Just signed up and ready to jump in!
Question – I just entered my 2nd trimester, I’m starting to get my energy back and want to add this to my routine. Thoughts? Is there a lot of ab work throughout?
The workouts do have core work, but they are generally separate for direct core work so you could easily leave that off. The plan is also meant to be flexible and I provide modifications for exercises, however they wouldn’t necessarily be modified for pregnancy. I think a lot of the exercises would require modifications specifically for pregnancy (i.e any supine or prone exercises, twisting exercises, etc) which is the main reason I wouldn’t suggest the program during pregnancy.
Hi pb fingers! I LOVE your blog,as I am a peanut butter addict! I would love the chance to try the book camp! I am always trying new workouts, and have always wanted to take a boot camp class, but have 2 young boys. I would love something fun,but that is challenging for me. Thank you so much for considering! Natalie
I found your program after the awesome reviews on PBF but just entered my 2nd trimester as well. I would love to participate in your program and I don’t want to be jumping the gun too much but will you be doing another round after this one… like maybe in the spring of 2013? (:
Hi Veronika! I agree that waiting for a future boot camp would probably be the best fit for you since many of the exercises would have to be modified for pregnancy. I typically do my bootcamps in a 3-4 month rotation. I plan on having round 4 start the first week of January (happy New Year, right?) which would put round 5 starting likely somewhere between mid April to early May.
What time on Oct 15th will the registration close? ( I was going to wait until Julie’s giveaway winners were announced on Oct. 15th before I registered).
You can register through October 15, so if you waited to register until after the winners are announced then you should be fine. You can also pre-register and if you won, I would reimburse you for that but I understand not wanting to go that route. I hope to have you join in!
Count me IN! I’m so excited to give this a try! I love anything challenging and can’t wait to see what you have in store!
I just registered. I’m a little nervous but am excited because I think this will help me get back in to an exercise routine. I love to walk (have done several Avon Walks) and recently had a stress fracture in my foot and was in a boot for 11 weeks! Now that I have been out of the boot for almost 2 months I really have no excuse!
Oh no I missed registration!!
When does the next one begin. I’m so bummed!
round 4 will be starting the first week of January with registration going on during December.
I just found out about this on a blog, I would love to do this!!! any chance I can still get in?
Thanks!!!
Hi Latoya!
I hate to say no, but unfortunately it is very difficult to add people in after boot camp has started. Round 4 will begin registration in early Dec with a start date of Jan 7. I would love to have you join then! Thanks for your understanding,
Tina
Will you please email me information about your next boot camp starting in January 2013. Thank you
Registration for the next bootcamp will be Dec 3 to 31, and it will begin on Jan 7th.
When will you start your next challenge?
The next challenge will start January 7 with registration from Dec 3 through Dec 31.
What all does the bootcamp challenge consist of? Diet, exercise plan? How much is the challenge and how long is it?
Hi! Was just wondering what the cardio component of the program entailed? I don’t have a gym membership and running outdoors isn’t really feasible during a typical Canadian winter! (That and I’m a wimp when it comes to cold weather running.. haha) Thanks in advance!
Hi Stephanie!
I usually give a variety of interval workouts that can be done either running or any type of equipment. If you don’t have access to that, then the plan is meant to be flexible and you could incorporate some favorite workout DVDs as an option. I have even had participants who just break out some dancing for some cardio options. Also, there are times where the strength workouts themselves include a cardio component. Hope this helps!
I need help getting started to lose weight. I been battling weight my whole life.
Hi Tina! I was wondering if this bootcamp is appropriate for during pregnancy?
Hi Jenn,
Unfortunately I do not recommend BBB for during pregnancy because of the amount of modifications needed to tailor specifically to pregnancy. You can, however, always pay the $25 to receive the workouts to hold to use at a later time post-pregnancy and participate in the group/prizes for extra motivation while doing your own workouts. I would not recommend following the plan, though.
Can’t wait. I’m currently doing HBBC2012 and was sad that the motivation was soon coming to a close. So happy that I can continue past the holidays with BBB! So so excited!!
Signing up for Round 4 tonight, missed 3 cause we were out of town and traveling but I loved 2 so I am worried I’m gonna have to start the strength training from scratch – ouch! Best of Luck to everyone in BBB4 and beyond:)
Just signed up!
YAY!!
Could we still sign up to get the workouts from this session? I know signing up now would probably not make me eligible for prizes and such but the work outs sound great!
I found your website via http://www.pbfingers.com and am planning on registering for your next round! Just wondering how many days a week a new workout is posted and if there are rest days incorporated? Thanks!
I incorporate and encourage at least one full rest day per week. The plan is written with 5 workouts of about an hour in length per week that can be tailored to personal schedules. The plan is also meant to be flexible. There is an optional 6th day for something like yoga, active recovery, a favorite workout, or an extra cardio session but if it isn’t done it doesn’t affect your completion of the plan at all. Let me know of any other questions you have.
I am interested but unsure of skill level required. Is there a beginners class or do yo have to have a certain level of experience?
I do offer modifications for all exercises and workouts, but highly suggest having a base level of fitness. I would not suggest the program for someone completely new to working out.
Hi Tina – I am having elbow surgery (tendon & ligament repair) on 3/8. I’d like to start BBB4 on April 1st but I’m not sure I’ll be ready for any exercises that put a lot of stress on my left elbow / wrist. How modifiable are the exercises to accommodate my post-op recovery?
Thanks in advance for your reply!
Heather
Hi Heather,
Based on those circumstances I would personally suggest giving yourself more time for a full recovery and then joining in a later round (there should be another around July and October of this year). Hate to say it but I would rather you safe than sorry.
Hi Tina!
I am considering your bootcamp as I’ve heard awesome things about it! However, I am having surgery the end of this week and will be unable to work out the first few weeks of April. If I still sign up – are we provided printable workouts to use for the future? That would make it all the worthwhile to still sign up!
Hi Ashley! You can certainly keep all the workouts for future use. I send them via Google and Word Docs, so just print them off to save and keep for later.
Im interested in the bootcamp, but am currently recovering from a tailbone injury and pretty limited. Would it work for me to sign up and do the workouts a few weeks behind?
I would definitely say wait until you are fully recovered and have eased back into a more solid routine again without any reoccuring pain before giving the BBB workouts a try. So, you could either wait to join Round 6 that will start in early July or go ahead and sign up for Round 5 to keep those workouts to have ready when you’re ready and still participate in the support with the FB group, etc. You get to keep all workouts, so if you wanted to have them on hold for later you can certainly pay for them to keep. Otherwise, if you feel being a part of the group and having them now would make it hard to rest and properly heal, then perhaps it would be better to wait for Round 6. Hope this helps! And hope you recover quickly and easily from your injury.
You’re next round (July) starts on my 25th birthday, can’t think of a better way to start my 25th year. I will definitely be signing up (and entering as many comps to get entry as possible!)
Awe darnit! Looks like I’m a day past the late registration time
. It’s probably for the best, I don’t feel quite ready yet :p. I’m going to train train train FOR the bootcamp coming up in July
!
$1000 is a VERY sweet incentive!
ypsxxnvmvhpv
I am so going to join in for the phase 6.
So excited for the new changes!! I will be signed up for sure!!
I’m super excited for the new challange. Just want to make sure if I can adjust the schedule to my own time zone. Thanks, George
You do all workouts on your own time.
I am 26 weeks pregnant and have been wanting to do this!! Ive been consistently running and lifting weights throughout, but I wanted something with more support and workouts laid out for me for the rest of my pregnancy. I read Michelle’s review and talked to her and am taking the plunge. Very excited to participate in this program!!
Very cool! And I’m always available for any modification questions you may need.
Is there still time to sign up?? $1000 grand prize looks like a great incentive IMHO. Not saying that losing some weight wont be worth it!!!
Yes there is. Late registration is going on through the end of the week. Let me know if you have any questions. Although I will give a heads up that while men are certainly allowed to join, it is a very women targeted group…so just be prepared in those regards.
Is it too late to sign up?
Hi Lou, The summer registration actually just closed yesterday. The fall BBB will begin registration in August.
Hey Tina,
I can’t wait to sign up for boot camp in August! I just missed the summer sign- up date. Do you use any fitness assessments so we may track our progress? If so, what are they? Also, are the workouts ones you would give to your clients at the gym?
Thanks,
Heather Murphy
Hi Heather! Yes, I do have assessments. There is a fitness assessment that measures cardio (a few options but the most common used is a timed mile which can be running, walking, on an ellipitcal whatever), lower body (wall sit test), upper body (pushups), and power (burpees). There are also progress tracking tables for things personally chosen to track such as weight, measurements, etc. all of the tracking is for personal use.
The workouts are one plan that can be customized to many different levels and available equipment, etc. The 8 weeks goes through 4 phases that touches all different styles and emphases of training, so yes they are workouts I would use with clients. With a personalized client, there may be more time and focus on a certain style of training for that client which I can’t readily do in the BBB plan but the plan itself does hit everything through the phases and the entire body is trained every week. I hope this helps answer your questions!
Thanks so much; all of my questions were answered!
This is the sweetest idea EVER!! A wad of cash might be enough motivation to get my butt into gear haha.
Who else is signing up in August?
Is there an email list we can join for notification on the August sign up?
I don’t have a newsletter solely for that, but if you subscribe to my blog (you can subscribe by email) then I announce the registration and give out frequent reminders that way.
These foods are not only full of sugar, they are not fat.
It actually costs a lot less effort to just not eat calories as opposed to eating them and then having to burn them.
I guess we need to clarify that crash Dieting Tricks is an unhealthy way of losing the same weight I was before losing
the 50 pounds in 2008.
Hi,
I am trying to register for the fall bootcamp. It states I have until the 15th to do it but when I click on registration it states that it is closed.
Can I not get enrolled any longer?
Is it too late to sign up for this???
Hmm it appears like your site ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I guess I’ll just sum
it up what I had written and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying
your blog. I as well am an aspiring blog writer but I’m still
new to the whole thing. Do you have any recommendations for rookie blog writers?
I’d really appreciate it.
I know that the current round of boot camp is almost over, but would it be possible to still sign up and get the workouts to do on my own time? When is the next round beginning?
Thanks so much for the info!
Ashley
The current round is actually the final round of BBB I am hosting. You can still purchase the 8 weeks of workouts by using the registration link above. Hope this helps!
